It runs through part of the Llanganuco-Laguna 69 – Santa Cruz hike. It has a pass with fabulous views that allow you to contemplate several peaks, among those which stand out ,(Alpamayo, Taulliraju, Atesonraju and others), there are incredible trails and indescribable landscapes. The pass reaches 4750 m. from where you can appreciate the imposing snow-capped mountains and a great variety of flora and fauna, it also has a large number of lagoons, waterfalls, rivers, trails and wonderful valleys.

Itinerary:
We will move north through the Callejon de Huaylas Valley, in Caraz we will take a detour to the town of Cashapampa, where one of our muleteers will be waiting to load all the equipment to be used during this expedition. After a break, we will start walking in the Santa Cruz valley between two imposing rock mountains, enjoying beautiful waterfalls, rivers and snow-capped mountains.
After 4 to 5 hours of walking we will arrive at our “Llamacorral” camp.
Walking time: 4 to 5 hours approximately.
Approximate difference in altitude: 850 m.
After breakfast we will start our walk in the Santa Cruz Valley along a pleasant path that will take us to visit and enjoy the Jatuncocha Lagoon, rivers, waterfalls and impressive snow-capped mountains. After about 3 hours of walking we will leave the main road to deviate towards the Arhuaycocha Valley and visit the base camp of the most beautiful snow-capped mountain in the Alpamayo World. After visiting and taking many photos of the Arhuaycocha Lagoon and snow-capped mountains that surround the area, we will return to the Santa Cruz Valley and after nearly 7 hours of walking we will arrive at our Taullipampa Camp, surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains and next to a beautiful river.

After a delicious Andean breakfast and a panoramic view of the magnificent snow-capped mountains such as: Artesonraju, Quitaraju, Alpamayo and Taulliraju, we will continue our expedition to the highest point, “Punta Union. After lunch in that beautiful place we will descend to the east side of the Cordillera Blanca, passing through the Collcacocha and Tzakicochas Lagoons to our next “Paria” Camp located in the heart of the Huaripampa Valley and at the foot of the snowy mountains of Chacraraju, Garcilaso, Taulliraju and others.
Walking time: 6 to 7 hours approximately.
Approximate difference in altitude: 500 m. rise and 800 m descent.
An easy path awaits us between the Huaripampa Valley and typical, traditional towns such as Huaripampa, Coyo and Vaqueria; at the latter, our walk ends. After a break we will take the bus to return to Huaraz, enjoying wonderful views especially from the Portachuelo Pass to the Llanganuco Valley, Chinancocha, Orconcocha Lagoons and impressive snow-capped mountains such as HUASCARAN (the highest snow-capped mountain in Peru 6768m)
